I designed UI for Neopolis, a cyberpunk, futuristic real-time strategy game in 2017 on a freelance basis for Omni Systems. Some screen designs were never finalised as work was created in batch contracts after which I started at Splash Damage. However, the game shipped in 2020.
I focussed on simple, clean presentation with a minimal UI style that incorporated pops of colour and geometric decals to fit with a futuristic cyberpunk theming.

Squad Selection
This screen was a concept for a squad selection feature. The developer had a specific interaction in mind to allow the player to make granular selections from a large amount of characters available to choose from. A selection wheel could allow players to make both broad selections quickly to grab character class types indiscriminately but also let you inspect each character to make specific choices as the player wished. The blue section represented selected squad members from each faction.
HUD Concept
A HUD concept. Some elements were incomplete due to a lack of a feature brief for requirements at the time and as this contract ended part way through development I didn't fully complete this design.

An alternative layout for level select in skirmish mode.
Help and Tutorials
Friends Menu
An in-game representation of the platform friends list to enable the player to play in co-op mode. The player could select multiple players to form a team before sending the invite en-masse.
